The manual opening of read receipts work, but I can not get it to work any other way. If that doesn't happen, you can double click on a read receipt and force tracking to update. If I open a few of the read receipts manually, I then have the option to see tracking on the sent message, although to see the accurate results, I have to open all 75 read receipts in my inbox.įrom my understanding, periodically, an auto attendant (type thing) will sweep your inbox and collect these results (and leave them there should you not have it set to move / delete the results) and then it updates the tracking so you can see it.

If I look at the tracking on the original message I sent (in my sent items), it will not show me any information, or even let me look at the tracking. These are all unread in my inbox (even though I select the option in Outlook > Mail > Tracking > "Update Tracking Information, and then delete" option. The issue comes into play when I receive 75 read receipts. Per a group policy, the clients do not have a choice, it will send a read receipt (and this part is functioning correctly). When composing the email, I choose (under the options tab), "Request a Read Receipt". For HR reasons, we need to make sure they read the email. I am trying to send an email out to ~75 people (all internal). Sorry, I may not be clear when trying to explain.
